Telegram Mini App development

A Telegram Mini App is an app that opens right inside Telegram. Your customer doesn’t install anything or sign up: they tap a button in the bot and get a catalogue, a booking screen, a personal account or a control panel. I build Mini Apps for business tasks: from a simple booking form to a full working tool for your team.

Why a Mini App and not a website or a separate app

Your customers are already in Telegram. Nobody has to look for a Mini App in the App Store or Google Play: it opens from a bot, a link or a button in a channel.

No sign-up needed. Telegram itself tells the app who opened it, so there are no logins, passwords or email confirmations.

A regular bot handles short flows well. When you need a catalogue, a calendar or a multi-step form, the chat turns into a long chain of messages. A Mini App shows everything on one screen, and the bot stays next to it and sends notifications.

What you can build

  • Catalogue and orders: products, cart, checkout, order status.
  • Booking: services, staff, a calendar of free slots.
  • Customer account: order history, bonuses, a loyalty programme.
  • Forms and requests: questionnaires, surveys, price calculators.
  • An owner’s panel: what’s happening right now, statistics, one-tap actions.
  • Internal tools for the team: records, reports, role-based access.

What the platform itself can do

  • Payments right in Telegram, without going to third-party sites.
  • Full-screen mode and a home-screen shortcut, like a regular app.
  • Geolocation when you need it: delivery, the nearest location, a field visit.
  • Notifications through the bot: reminders, status changes, broadcasts.
  • Light and dark themes follow the user’s Telegram.

How it works and why it’s secure

  • A Mini App is a web app that Telegram opens in its own window. I write the server side in Python or PowerShell, depending on what you already run.
  • Every request from the app carries user data signed by Telegram. The server checks the signature (HMAC-SHA256), so nobody can fake a request on someone else’s behalf.
  • Important actions can be protected with roles and a PIN.
  • The app can be connected to what you already have: a CRM, spreadsheets, accounting software, your own database. All it needs is access to the data, through an API or directly.
  • It can be hosted on your server, in the cloud, or through Cloudflare Tunnel when the server has no open ports.

Examples from my projects

How the work goes

  1. 01
    Brief

We dig into the task and agree on what counts as “done”.

  2. 02
    Prototype

I show a mockup or a demo on a test bench before the main code.

  3. 03
    Build

In small stages. A backup before every change, a rollback for each.

  4. 04
    Testing

First on a copy of your environment, then on the live one.

  5. 05
    Handover

A guide, I explain how to use it, and I stay in touch.

Questions

How is a Mini App different from a bot?

A bot talks in messages and buttons. A Mini App is an interface in a window inside Telegram: screens, lists, forms. Usually they work together: the bot sends notifications, and the work happens in the Mini App.

Does anything need to be installed?

No. The app opens in Telegram on phone and desktop, nothing else to install.

Can it take payments?

Yes. How depends on what you sell: Telegram only allows digital goods and services to be paid in Stars, while physical goods use a connected payment provider.

Can it connect to my CRM or spreadsheets?

Yes, as long as the data is accessible: through the system’s API, a database or files. At the brief we look at what you already use and build around it.

Can I start with a bot and add a Mini App later?

Yes. The logic stays on the server, only the interface changes. In the “Office server” case there was first a button menu in the chat, and later the same logic moved into a Mini App.

How much does it cost and how long will it take?

It depends on the task. After the brief I give you the scope, timeline and price. Before the main build I show a prototype or a plan, so you can see what you will get.
